OMNIS, a state-owned agency, created in 1976, has been commissioned to manage, to develop and to promote the national petroleum and mineral resources in Madagascar.

New investigation techniques (3D seismic and deep water drilling technique developments) led to define new play concepts regarding oil accumulation within frontier areas.

Mineral ores are so far under-explored. The rationalization of the management of their exploitation is imperative in order to develop the national industry.

Based on its main activites, OMNIS endeavours to develop partnership with oil and mining companies, by:

    • The creation of incentive and competitive environments for foreing investments
    • The review and systematically exploration data updating to allow easy and reliable prospect appraisal.

In order to accomplish its mission, OMNIS employs a multidisciplinary team composed of highly qualified technical staff, having professional competencies and widely proven experience in large-scale project management.
